Dumplings’ Legend offers an original approach to Chinese food, merging the familiar comfort food of London’s Chinatown with the culinary heritage of regional oriental cuisine. Located on Gerrard Street, the new eatery challenges the standard formula of the Chinese restaurant with its focus on creating an innovative Dim Sum menu to woo even the most seasoned restaurant goer. One of only a select few restaurants in London in which every single dumpling is made fresh to order by expert chefs, Dumplings Legend explores the tastes and traditions of Shanghai, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Malaysia to create variants that breakdown culinary boundaries and create a new and exciting way of eating Asian cuisine.

As soon as you walk in the front door, it will become clear that Dumplings' Legend isn’t your standard Chinese restaurant. You will immediately notice the fantastic variation of fragrances that emanate from the restaurant’s open-plan kitchen, where you can watch the Dumplings' Legend chefs skilfully hand-craft each delicate Siu Long Bao from the highest quality ingredients. Indeed, the renowned Siu Long Bao, is the star of the show - the recipe for this traditional steamed soup dumpling has been modified to create unique variations which form the focal point for the restaurant’s refreshingly unique menu. The Siu Long Bao menu alone ranges from spicy pork, chicken and prawn to the highly sought after supreme crab-roe which is very limited in supply due to the availability of the extremely fresh ingredients.
